Group 15

A fruitful partnership of 140 between Kabir Toor and Jonathan McLean ensured Radlett eased past Osterley with a seven-wicket win on Sunday.

Inserted, the visitors lost opener Manoj Prasanga (0) to Randeep Sanghera (two for 26) and soon found themselves at 33 for two.

However, they steadied the ship and were able to reach 175 for six in 30 overs.

Toor (83 not out) and McLean (65) took centre stage as Radlett chased down that modest total with ease.

Joe Cooke (2) and Johnny Armitage (15) also fell by the wayside but Radlett got home with minimal fuss, making it to 176 with seven wickets in hand.

Division Two A

Old Merchant Taylors' slumped to a 61-run defeat against Chesham Seconds on Saturday.

Russell Henley put OMTs in a commanding position at the half-way stage of the encounter, taking a superb eight for 66 to help dismiss Chesham for 171.

Hopes of a second league win were short-lived, though, as disciplined Chesham bowling had the home side in trouble from the start.

Paul Marshall and Kavir Vedd put up early resistance but could not stop OMTs slumping to 110 all out.

Division Six A

OMT Seconds suffered a five-wicket defeat to Burnham Fourths.

John Walter starred with the bat scoring a rapid 42 off as many balls but OMTs ended up being bowled out for just 109 against their previously winless opponents.

But OMTs still made a contest of it by taking five Burnham wickets in response, with Hugh Phillipps (two for 26) the best performer. However it wasn’t enough as the home side eased home with overs in hand.
