Steve Finn has been selected in a 14-man England squad for a four day pre-Ashes training camp in Spain this month.

The group will head overseas from Saturday, June 27 and it will be their first chance to meet with new England cricket coach Trevor Bayliss.

It is a boost to Watford star Finn's hopes of being selected for the opening Ashes Test which starts in Cardiff on July 8.

The 26-year-old bowler has also been named in England's 13-man squad to play New Zealand in their T20 international at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Finn contributed to England's memorable win over New Zealand yesterday which levelled the one-day series ahead of Saturday's decider.

He bowled economically as he finished with one for 51 from ten overs, including one maiden, during the tourists' total of 349 for seven at Nottingham. But England then set a new record one-day run chase as they eased to the target reaching 350 for three in 44 overs.

This victory has made it 2-2 in an exceptional series which has seen England pass 300 for the fourth consecutive one-day international.

It was the ideal response from the hosts after losing by three wickets at Southampton on Sunday.

Finn failed to get among the wickets as he finished with figures of nought for 55 from ten overs in New Zealand's score of 306 for seven.

It was their second victory in a row after New Zealand edged to a 13-run Duckworth-Lewis win at The Oval last Friday. The Black Caps scored 398 for five with Finn taking one for 69 from his ten overs with one maiden.
