Josh Oldham did the majority of the damage for Kings by claiming six for 55 and young Samuel Hutchings chipped in with a deserved two for 11 on his debut for the Thirds.

Only Scott (47) made a significant contribution as Sandridge slumped to a well below-par 128 all out.

Tight bowling and good catching contributed to their downfall as they capitulated to 97 all out and defeat.

Chorleywood Thirds picked up their first win since the end of June as they comfortably dispatched bottom-of-the-table Flamstead seconds by nine wickets.

Flamstead chose to bat first and after a steady start suffered a double setback as Steve Dunning picked up the first two wickets in one over to get Wood into the game.

Off-spinner Tristan Tipping then joined the attack and picked up three wickets for 39 from his spell before Michael Brown finished things off with two for 10 from his 2.1 overs to dismiss the visitors for just 111.

Wood’s openers Rob Dunstone and Charles Hardcastle then put on a half-century opening stand in reply before Dunstone chipped a simple catch to mid-off for 26.

Hardcastle and Martin Tyler then finished the job by the 26th over with no further alarms, Tyler finishing on 20 not out and Hardcastle with an excellent unbeaten 56 to give Wood the 30 points and move them up to sixth place in the table.
