Holders Watford Grammar School for Boys will begin their attempt to win a fourth Watford Observer Fourteen14 Plate title in five years with a trip to Langleybury B.
The Rickmansworth Road school, who qualified for the event by virtue of being one of the three second round losers in the Shield with the worst net run rate, were knocked out of the main competition by the Hunton Bridge club’s A side. But the school will be hopeful of progressing, having beaten Bury’s second string at the same stage of last year’s Plate.
Watford are not the only school team in the Plate and Aldenham School were handed a fascinating derby clash with Aldenham in the draw which took place this lunchtime.
The bottom half of the draw also pits Bushey against Met Police Bushey, while Leverstock Green A were the first team to be drawn out and they will be at home to Watford Town B.
All matches have to be played by Friday, June 24 and participating clubs will be sent a copy of the draw this afternoon.
