This week’s bad weather has led to the semi-finals in the Watford Observer Fourteen14 Shield and Plate competitions being rearranged.

Both Northchurch’s Shield quarter-final tie with Kings Langley and Leverstock Green A’s last-eight clash with Frogmore were scuppered by the rain this week. They will try again next week but with the semi-finals originally due to be played on Tuesday and Thursday, these have now been put back.

The winners of the Northchurch and Kings Langley tie are now scheduled to face West Herts on Wednesday, June 29 at Abbots Langley.

The second Shield semi-final will be played at Watford Town 24 hours later and this will see the winners of the quarter-final between Langleybury A and Radlett take on either Leverstock Green A or Frogmore.

A Plate semi-final was due to be hosted by Abbots on June 29 and, as a result, this has now been rearranged for Tuesday, July 5 at the same venue. This game will be between the winners of Aldenham School and Aldenham and the quarter-final between Bushey and Met Police Bushey.

The only semi-final that has not had to be moved to date is the other last-four game in the Plate at Chipperfield Clarendon on Tuesday, June 28.

This will see the winners of Leverstock Green B’s clash with Watford Town B take on either Langleybury B or holders Watford Grammar School for Boys for a place in the last four.
