England paceman Steven Finn has been ruled out for four weeks after tearing his left hamstring.

The Watford-born paceman suffered the injury while bowling during the fourth Investec Test against Pakistan and was left out of the five-match one-day series as a result.

While he will not play international cricket again this summer, he is hoping to make his county comeback before the end of the campaign.

An England and Wales Cricket Board statement said: "Middlesex and England bowler Steven Finn has sustained a left hamstring tear. He is anticipated to be available in approximately four weeks.

"The 27-year-old will start a rehabilitation programme with Middlesex and England, and is aiming to play a part in Middlesex's Championship campaign in September."
