Radlett’s Home Counties Premier League campaign got off to a disappointing start with an eight-wicket defeat at the hands at Henley.
The visitors batted first in Saturday’s opening Division One encounter and were dismissed for 224 off their 66 overs, with Shane Burger top-scoring on 57.
But Henley encountered few problems in racing to the target for the loss of two wickets off just 47.2 overs.
West Herts also started their Division Two East campaign with a heavy loss by nine wickets at home to Stevenage.
Only four batsmen made it into double figures as Syed Ali Kazmi (four for 15) and Azhar Ali (two for 27) did most of the damage with the ball in dismissing the Stags for 130.
Stevenage coasted to their target inside 27 overs, with Gary Brown leading the way with an unbeaten 71.
Hemel Hempstead also looked like they might be in trouble when Bishop’s Stortford restricted them to 175 for nine.
But the visitors were blown away for only 91 in reply, with Mark Brazier (four for 25) and Brett Penny (three for 39) Stortford’s chief tormentors with the ball.
