Langleybury will be bidding to move within two victories of Lord’s when they take on Dinton in the second national round of the NPower Village Cup at Hunton Bridge tomorrow.

Following their fine 65-run win at Hambledon, the 1996 finalists go into the last 16 game in confident mood against the Buckinghamshire group winners, who defeated Rowledge by nine runs in the first national stage.

Lee Channer’s men have no injury problems ahead of the tie, which starts at 2pm, against the club from near Aylesbury, although they will be without holidaying fast bowler Andrew Cheeseman.

The Herts League Division One side will have home advantage again if they beat Dinton, and they will face either Kent’s Linton Park or Glynde & Beddingham, from Sussex, in the quarter-finals on Sunday, July 26.
