Chipperfield Clarendon star takes fifth best figures in club's history

Drew McMillan had a day to remember as Chipperfield Clarendon claimed a convincing Herts League Division Three victory over County Hall.

The Australian all-rounder became the first local player this season to take nine wickets in an innings and, in doing so, his nine for 39 was also the fifth best figures in the club’s history.

Only Andy Green prevented the impressive paceman from taking all ten wickets, as County Hall were dismissed for 133 on Saturday.

In reply, Iain McNicol – who passed 1,000 runs for the campaign – with an unbeaten 37 and McMillan’s 33 not out guided Chipps home for the loss of three wickets.
