Defeat for Met Police in Chess Valley Division Seven

High flying Met Police Bushey lost out at mid table Preston by 18 runs in Chess Valley Division Seven.

The hosts won the toss and elected to bat, posting 201 for the visitors to chase.

Alex Forsey finished with the best figures, claiming three for 32, but his efforts were somewhat overshadowed by Simon Hamilton’s own three wicket return.

Hamilton scored his first ever hat trick, with all three being clean bowled, as he finished with three for 40.

The reply got off to a poor start however, with the visitors reduced to 46 for six after 14 overs.

Tony Nightingale (83) and Dukey Buckingham (30) put on a seventh wicket partnership of 120 but they fell short of their target.
