Steve Finn has been singled out as the “outstanding bowler” in England’s one-day series in India.
The tourists suffered a comprehensive 5-0 defeat but Watford-born bowler Finn was one of the few shining lights.
The 6ft 7in talent’s best performance came in the fourth defeat on Sunday when he took three for 45 from ten overs. The Middlesex seamer followed this up in the final match on Tuesday by picking up two for 47 with two maidens.
England coach Andy Flower was quick to praise the 22-year-old for his contribution during the series.
Flower said: "Coming into the series he wasn't a first-choice limited-overs cricketer for us. But he has been the outstanding bowler in our side."
England skipper Alastair Cook said: "We got thoroughly beaten out here but there are quite a few positives. I thought Steven Finn, throughout the series, has been excellent.”
