A win in this game means progression to the semi-finals of the League Cup so nerves were stretched. Watford Ladies pushed hard from the start and were rewarded with a goal after just ten minutes. Energetic and positive passes that kept the visitors under pressure resulted in goal number two just a few minute later.

However, the experienced Hemel Hempstead team were always a threat and took every chance to counter attack. Several shots on goal were rendered harmless by the Watford keeper to keep the half time score 2-0.

The second half started with Hemel Hempstead raising their game and after only five minutes into the half chalked up their first goal. Score 2-1. Though Hemel Hempstead pushed forward their players to try to find the equalizer they never did find the back of the Watford net again and the final score remained the same. 2-1.

Victory to the home team and a place in the Semi Finals against Garston.
