Watford Ladies U12 Hornets scored three second half goals to take maximum points against Bedwell Rangers Dragons to extend their lead at the top of the U12 Division Two by 8 points.

Despite dominating for most of the first half, the Hornets were unable to break down a packed and resolute Bedwell defence. Playing on a smaller than usual home pitch, Watford found themselves camped in the opposition half but could not find the final pass or shot to capitalise on their pressure although goalkeeper Hayley had to make a smart save to stop Bedwell taking the lead against the run of play. Half time score 0-0.

The second half started with Watford fast off the blocks and the well deserved lead was attained when Sophie fired in a crisp shot that he goalkeeper parried back to Sophie's boot who made no mistake with the rebound. 1-0.

The first goal spurred the Hornets to more as they peppered the Bedwell gaol and success was quick in coming. Mid-way through the second half , two quick goals put the vicory beyond doubt though further chances were not taken.

The final result of 3-0 was well deserved. Watford now find themselves 8 points clear at the top of Division 2.
