Kate Natkiel took her tally to 23 goals for the season as her hatrick sealed a 4-0 County Cup Final win over Stevenage Borough Ladies FC.

Nerves were taught in both teams for this vital game and despite chances it was nine minutes before Wynne and Gunn combined on the left hand side to produce a wonderful cross for Natkiel put Watford one up. With Watford in the lead Stevenage frustrated the Ladies attempts to double their lead and with no more goals the half time score remained 1-0 to the Ladies.

With nerves firmly in check Watford started again in bullish form. The second half was all Watford with the golden girls pushing for that second goal and gaps began to appear in the Stevenage defence. Watford finally got a well timed second goal after an hour of play when Brown picked up a shot, from a Natkiel cleared attempt on goal, and her half volley went flying into the back of the net.

It was only a matter of time before they scored again. The third goal came at eighty eight minutes when Kearney-Perry found Natkiel on the right who then turned to slot the ball underneath the keeper just inside the box.

Victory was certain now but Natkiel had a hat trick to complete. When Wiltshire on the left had her shot saved the drop down fell straight to Natkiel's feet who sidestepped a defender and placed the ball with her left foot calmly past the Stevenage keeper.

Manager Sam Perrin said after the game "The girls have done very well; to play in a cup final with a crowd like there was today can be hard. Nerves can kick in and with the majority of the squad aged 16 to 18 it can be hard to settle them; but in the second half we looked like the team we have been the whole season."

"I was very happy to see them elated as they received their medals. This title means a lot to them. I am proud of every single one of them and they should be proud of themselves too".
