FA Cup weekends are always a rollercoaster ride, and just 2 weeks ago Watford Ladies experienced a great buzz knocking Nottingham Forest Ladies out in a nail-biting away match. The Golden Girls showed their resolve by converting a 3-3 draw after extra time, into a 4-3 victory after penalties.
Sadly, they were not able to capitalise on this win. Just 7 days later Watford met a Millwall side determined to upset the applecart, resulting in a crushing 5-0 defeat and the end of their FA Cup dream this season. Manager Neil Hart said “ We are all aware that that this result and our performance was not good enough on the day , but our squad is united enough to bounce back from this game and to focus on delivering positive performances in our crucial final 3 games of the season.”
