I had an interesting meeting with the Sheffield Wednesday disabled supporters liason officer before the match on Saturday. I have been writing bits for the matchday programme about our treatment at other grounds. Not bad really overall but I wonder how other supporters get treated at Vic Road and so I asked her.
The initial problem was parking as they had to use the Girlsgrammar. Not far you might think but when you have to push a wheelchair then perhaps not so good. Anyway, she has promised the write to me when they get home and tell me how they got on inside the ground.
She also told me that they were very sad to lose Julian Winter [our CEO] as he had been intrumental in setting up their disabled supporters association [equivalent to WFC Enables]. They think he is a thoroughly good bloke.
Anyway, I will post her reply.
