West Herts Hockey Club got their quest for promotion from East Premier A back on track with two victories at the weekend.

On Saturday, the Stags travelled to Ramgarhia and returned from east London with a 5-0 victory.

West Herts were in total control of the game and opened the scoring as Max Webster slid the ball past the keeper.

Webster then added a second before Daniel Scott struck a third. The Stags went on to add to more goals to secure a comfortable victory.

On Sunday, the Stags faced Wapping and the result was never in doubt as they ran out 8-1 winners.

The Seconds lost 3-0 against Ford in East Division One, the Thirds were beaten 2-0 by Letchworth Seconds in Division 3SW and the Fourths were downed 6-2 by Stevenage Seconds in Division 4SW.

There was a 1-1 draw for the Fifths against Welwyn Garden City in Division 5SW, the Sixths claimed a 4-1 win against Royston Fourths in Division 8SW but the Sevenths lost 4-0 against Division 9SW.

The ladies’ first team have slipped to fifth in the East Premier after they were beaten 2-0 by Canterbury.

The Seconds were in fine goal scoring form and thumped Leighton Buzzard 7-1 in Five Counties Premier while in Division One the Thirds lost 5-0 to Stevenage Thirds.

The Fourths completed a 4-0 win against Luton Town Seconds in Division Three and the Fifths won 3-1 against Berkhamsted & Hemel Hempstead in Division Four.
