Garston Ladies ere unable to continue their winning start to the season after losing 2-1 to Harvesters on Sunday.

After an evenly-matched opening period, Garston fell behind to a strike from 18 yards but responded well, pushing for an equaliser which came when Jo Sharp fired home shortly after the break.

Harvesters took all three points away with them, though, winning the contest with a spot-kick for a push in the penalty area.

Garston Ladies 96 saw their clash with Broadhall Ladies postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, denying them the opportunity to build on their winning start to the season.

The Under-16 Sharks were big winners, crushing Toddington Rovers 11-0, thanks to hat-tricks from Leah Crocket and Jade Roberts.

Lily Clark and Kristal Clarke each helped themselves to braces, whilst Hannah Burt also bagged.

In the Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership League, the Under-15s lost to Watford Ladies Wasps, 6-2; Amy Robb scoring twice for Garston.

The Under-14s started their season in emphatic fashion, swatting aside Bengeo Tigers 9-0.

Garston were ahead 5-0 at the break thanks to goals from Yasmin Sabri (2), Emily Downey and Tegan Davis. Downey bagged a second after the break, whilst Holy Chappell, Amelia Dyer and Frankie Culloty also scoring.

Ruby Jager scored twice as the Under-13 Mets beat the Under-13 Diamonds 5-2. Megan Allaway, Hannah Code and Abby Reith also netted for the Mets, whilst Georgina McGurk and Joanna Verducci hit back for the Diamonds.

The Under-12 Diamonds progressed to the next round of the County Cup following a comprehensive 4-0 win at Bedwell Rangers Meerkats. Shreya Parmar (2) and Georgie Rosenberg (2) shared the goals as Garston progressed.
