Kings Langley will face local rivals Berkhamsted in the FA Vase first round after beating Burton Park Wanderers 2-0.

Mitchell Weiss had Kings’ best chance of the first half, firing against the crossbar, whilst Shane Hawkes also went close.

Six minutes after the restart, Callum Adebiyi opened the scoring by latching onto Daryl Atkins’ flick and shooting across the visitors’ goalkeeper into the far corner.

With eight minutes remaining, Kings wrapped up the win when Alex Campana reacted quickest to tuck home after Atkins saw his initial effort blocked.

Kings are back in league action with a visit from Holmer Green tomorrow.

On Tuesday, Oxhey Jets were beaten 4-0 at home by Berkhamsted, who stretched their lead at the top of the Premier Division to three points.

Josh Chamberlain netted twice and further strikes from Ashley Morrissey and BJ Christie completed a comprehensive win for Mick Vipond’s side.

Berko’s 3-0 win over Newport Pagnell on Saturday came after Christie helped himself to a brace, whilst Dale Turney got the third late on.

Berko will aim to further extend their advantage when they host London Tigers tomorrow.

Two extra-time strikes ensured Oxhey Jets have also reached the FA Vase first round, after Long Buckby were dispatched 2-0 on Saturday.

Jets will now host Tower Hamlets, after efforts from Sim Armstrong and Eoin Casey secured Wayne Gladdy’s side a passage into the next round either side of half-time in extra-time.

Gladdy’s side return to league action tomorrow with a visit from Berkhamsted, before a trip to Leverstock Green on Tuesday.

Leverstock Green won by the odd goal in seven against Hillingdon Borough in the Premier Division on Saturday.

The first 20 minutes proved to be breathless, with the visitors taking the lead through Roy Byron, before being pegged back by Louis Bircham two minutes later.

Callum Wright then scored in the 15th minute to make it 2-1, before nabbing his second four minutes later, putting Levy in a seemingly comfortable position.

Nine minutes after the break, Gary Edwards pulled one back for Hillingdon, before Bircham bagged his second from the penalty spot with 18 minutes remaining.

The visitors refused to be beaten though, and scored through Mikel Staryshinski to set up a tense finish.

Levy were beaten 5-0 by Conference South strugglers Staines Town in their FA Cup second qualifying round tie on Tuesday.

Tring Athletic face a trip to Enfield 1893 in the FA Vase first round after beating Woodford United 2-1 on Saturday.

Ollie Butler left it late to catapult Tring into the first round proper, adding to Trevor Gibbs’ second-half strike as Athletic came from behind to advance.

On Tuesday, Tring were beaten 2-1 at home to Cockfosters in the Premier Division, with Butler again scoring late, this time only netting a consolation.

Tring make the journey to Biggleswade United on Saturday.
