Fullerians produced their best display of the season thus far to beat Finchley 27-9.

The first try arrived from a scrum; centre Liam Mann running in to score unopposed, before adding a penalty shortly after to put his side 8-0 up.

Two quick penalties from Finchley saw the visitors reduce the deficit to two points at half time, with Fullers 8-6 ahead.

Luc Jacobs hit the post with a penalty, but Connor Head reacted quickest to take the bounce of the ball in his stride and score under the posts. Jacobs duly added the extras.

Scrum half Craig Duncan then crashed over for the hosts’ third try of the afternoon to further extend their lead.

There was a set-back when skipper Ben Wetton was dismissed for retaliation, but Fullers refused to let it affect them and Head scored his second and Fullers’ fourth of the afternoon following good interplay.
