Tring Athletic were comfortably beaten 4-2 by Hertford Town on Saturday following a nine-minute second-half blitz from their visitors.

Hosts Tring took the lead when Ryan Sturges rounded his marker before firing home his second of the season. Three minutes later, Louis Rose headed in to level for Hertford.

Town then took the lead just two minutes into the second period; Charlie Smith converting from his own rebound.

And, just seven minutes later, Hertford re-enforced their lead when Rose headed his second from another free-kick to make it 3-1.

A double substitution sparked Tring back into life, with Greg Deer tucking away a penalty. However Hertford made sure of the points in the third minute of injury time when Leigh Rose netted on the break.

Tring host Kings Langley tomorrow (Saturday).

With two defeats in a week, Leverstock Green extended their losing streak to four matches after going down 4-2 at Hadley on Wednesday.

It started well enough for Levy, who went ahead in the 29th minute through David Sobers. However, goals from Dave Pigden and Alexis Nicolas (2) put Hadley 3-1 up.

Louis Bircham got one back with 11 minutes remaining, but in the 91st minute, Pigden scored his second from the spot to seal the win.

On Saturday, Green were beaten 2-1 at home by London Colney; Luke Warner-Eley scoring for Levy.
