Watford Ladies Under-17 Wasps fell to a late goal as they were beaten 3-2 at Bedwell Rangers on Sunday, despite twice taking the lead.

Alice Heady handed the Wasps the lead after 11 minutes, following in from Carly Gilbey’s initial effort, but Bedwell equalised almost immediately.

A sumptuous lob from Gilbey put Watford back in front, before two second-half strikes sunk the Hornets.

The Under-15 Wasps beat the Under-15 Harts 7-0 in an intra-club derby to leave them top of the division.

Angel Frost bagged a hat-trick, whilst Becky Holmes, Keelie Horwood, Mikhela Treon and Samantha Cottam were also on target.

There was another intra-club derby at Under-13 level, where the Hornets came from behind to beat the Harts 5-2.

Lola Forsyth and Amy Ryan gave the Harts a 2-0 lead, but Ciara Purdue (3), Rebecca Lovelace and Charlotte Bailey scored to complete the turnaround.

The Under-12s were beaten 15-3 by a St Albans side shorn of three players, but were two short themselves.

Kayleigh Barrell-Diston got one back at 3-0 down, with Charlotte Clark scoring twice after the re-start.

Millie Tugby hit four as the Under-11 Harts won at Hitchin Belles, whilst three-goal Jessica Cripps, Kayra Karakus (2), Casey Evans, Grace Langham and Bliss Murray all found the back of the net for the Under-11 Hornets at Denham United.
