Timmy O’Mara hit a hat-trick as Oxhey Jets eased past Tower Hamlets 4-1 on Saturday to set up a second-round FA Vase tie at Deeping Rangers.
Jets made the ideal start when after just three minutes, O’Mara combined with Lee Armitt to slot home the opener.
Tower Hamlets were awarded a penalty in the 30th minute after Sam Phillips was punished for holding inside the penalty area. The spot kick was dispatched to tie the score at 1-1.
From there though, Jets took charge, and a goal either side of half time from O’Mara were added to by another from Armitt to send Jets through.
Biggleswade United are the visitors tomorrow as Jets return to league action.
