Kings Langley maintained their impressive run of form in the Premier Division on Tuesday night as they defeated Stotfold 4-1.

An own goal from Michael White put Langley in front before Mitchell Weiss struck a brace.

Marcus White pulled a goal back for Stotfold but Danny Hutchins fired home to complete the win.

On Saturday, Kings thrashed Oxhey Jets 5-0. Tom Carter broke the deadlock from close range and the lead was doubled through Dean Hitchcock’s free-kick.

Nick Jackson notched Kings’ third in the second period and Jack Johnson glanced home a fourth. The win was rounded off with 15 minutes remaining when Weiss dribbled forward and drilled his effort into the net.

There was further disappointment for Jets on Tuesday evening as they exited the Herts Charity Shield at the quarter-final stage after losing 3-1 to Hertford Town.

Wayne Gladdy’s men had taken the lead in the contest through Karl Bull but Tommy Wade equalised for Hertford in first-half stoppage time.

The contest was level until the 77th minute when Wade fired Town in front and he went on to complete his hat-trick in the final moments to seal victory for the visitors.

Sun Sports also exited the competition after they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Berkhamsted.

In a close-fought game, a 75th-minute strike from Josh Chamberlain booked Berko’s place in the semi-finals.

There were better fortunes for Sun in the Premier Division on Saturday as they recorded a 2-0 win at Biggleswade United.

It wasn’t an easy afternoon for Paul Hobbs’ league leaders but they eventually made the breakthrough with eight minutes remaining when Craig Lynskey found the net. The three points were guaranteed late on when Nathan Pooley struck in the closing stages.

Berkhamsted are third in the Premier Division after they sealed a 3-1 victory over Harefield United on Saturday.

Ryan Laville, Ed Canham and Jordan Frederick netted for Berko in the win.

There was disappointment for Tring Athletic as they suffered a heavy 4-1 league defeat at St Margaretsbury.

Tring fell behind in Saturday’s contest in the fourth minute when Edward Taylor scored. Ricky Light doubled their lead before Ryan Sturges pulled a goal back for the visitors in the second period.

Any hope Athletic had of claiming a draw was ended when Kevin Ashwood struck and Brett O’Connor then rounded off the win.

Leverstock Green made it through to the Herts Charity Shield semi-finals on Tuesday after defeating Welwyn Garden City 4-3 on penalties after the match ended 4-4 after extra-time.

Louis Bircham netted a hat-trick for Green whilst their other goal came from Ricky Dash. Their strikes weren’t enough to settle the contest but Green held their nerve from the spot to progress.

There was frustration for Green on Saturday as they conceded a late equaliser to draw 2-2 with London Lions in the Premier Division.

Nathan Jallow and Callum Wright netted for Green but a Hesham Benmansour double ensured the points were shared.
