Parmiter's and hosts Rickmansworth were the winners at the sixth annual Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership Table Tennis competition.
Rickmansworth School hosted the event with more than 50 pupils from St Joan of Arc, St Clement Danes, Parmiter’s, Francis Combe and Royal Masonic Schools also in attendance.
Each team consisted of four players who competed against the corresponding ranked player from each of the other schools. The points were then added up to find the winning team.
Rickmansworth dominated the girls’ competitions, coming away with the Under-13 and Under-16 trophies after some particularly close competition from RMS. The boys’ tournament saw Parmiter’s take the victory after a battle with Rickmansworth and Francis Combe.
All of the matches were officiated by volunteers from Rickmansworth School, who have completed the junior umpires award in the sport.
The winning schools will now qualify for the Herts School Games, where they will compete against the winners from 11 other areas in Hertfordshire for a chance to represent the county at the East of England competition.
