Garston Ladies Under-14s were the weekend’s big winners, cruising to a 5-1 success over Bengeo Tigers.

Doyin Bolaji helped herself to a brace, whilst there were also goals for Francesca Culloty, Louise O’Brien and Yasmin Sabri.

The Under-15s were the most senior side in action and they played out a highly-entertaining goalless draw against St Albans City South.

Both side’s goalkeepers were in inspired form, with Garston playing some of the best football they have managed this season.

Jemima Dawkins came close on a number of occasions but could not make the breakthrough as Garston settled for a hard-earned point.

Garston’s Under-13s came from behind to draw 2-2 in their local derby with Watford Ladies.

Abbie Lafayette put the Purples ahead before two Watford strikes turned the game on its head. Hannah Coote equalised for Garston though.

The Under-13 Diamonds were made to pay for their failure to take their chances as they lost out 5-0 against a clinical Knebworth side.

Wins for the Under-12 Mets and Diamonds in the Herts County Cup quarter-finals have set up the prospect of an all-Garston semi-final.

The Diamonds beat higher-division opponents Comet Sport 2-1 thanks to a Georgia Rosenberg brace.

Penalties were required to separate the Mets and Harvesters Yellows following a 2-2 draw in normal time; Issie Smith and Sharday Constable both on target before Charlotte Bambridge hit the winning penalty.
