Herts Sunday Senior Cup Round Three

Building on their current excellent form in the league, Oakview continued their winning run on their travels by beating Bradmore Rovers 5-1.

Lee Armitt grabbed a brace in the victory whilst top scorer Lewis Putman added two more to his total. A strike from Tom Kennedy completed the victory.

Rifle Volunteer booked their place in the next round defeating Stevenage side MBDA 5-3 in a tight game.

A double from Wayne Jackson and goals from Andy Lomas, Myles Hall and Adam Doe saw Rifle safely through.

Oxhey Estates exited the competition after they suffered a 6-2 defeat against AFC Cheshunt.

Luke Lloyd and John Danslow netted for Oxhey but their goals were only consolations.

Herts Sunday Intermediate Cup Round Three

Croxley FC Reserves advanced into the fourth round but only after a 5-4 penalty shoot-out victory over Herts Mauritian.

The match ended 3-3 after extra-time – Jason Quilley, Rishi Doshi and James O’Connell on target – and it was Croxley who held their nerve from the spot to seal their passage through to the next stage of the competition.

Green Dragon have struggled for goals this season but they found their shooting boots at the weekend to thrash Cassiobury Revolution 8-0.

There were braces from Luke O’Malley, Sam Margerisson and Lars Burkhadt whilst Martin Stevens and Dean Shuttleworth added singles.

Old Fullerians secured their place in round four by defeating Spreadeagle 3-1 thanks to goals from Jimmy Phang, Charlie Hailey and Steven Pich.

Herts Sunday Junior Cup Round Three A hat-trick from Andy Avis and a single from Aaron Davies wasn’t enough for Carpenders Park Rangers, who exited the competition after a 6-4 home defeat against The Ridge.

Evergreen Reserves also crashed out after their tie with Nicholas Breakspeare OB ended in a 5-4 loss after extra-time.

Oxhey Rangers were beaten 7-1 by Broxbourne Rangers OB – Jordan Aston-Woods netting the consolation – whilst Wellington Arms lost 4-2 against Radlett Village despite strikes from Mark Coffey and Mark Richards.

Racing Santandome did make it through to the fourth round after they beat Greenwood Park 6-4 after extra-time.

WSFL Challenge Cup Round Three

Easing through to the next round were St Josephs, who beat Gadeside Rangers 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Jack Garrett and a single strike from Daryl Craft.

Premier Division The only match to start in the poor conditions was abandoned early in the second half following a serious injury, with Mill End Sports leading West Herts 3-0.

It will be left to the league’s officers to decide whether this game will be replayed.

Division One

Rickmansworth Rovers maintained their winning form and retained second spot by defeating Nascot Arms 4-2 at home. Dean Mallett, James Budden, Tom Gibson and Adam Seabrook were all on target for Rovers while Steve Noonan and Dean Collins replied for the Arms.

Hammer FC kept up the pressure on the sides above them in the table with a 6-1 win over lowly Cassiobury Rangers, whose consolation was netted by Joe Mortimer.

In a mid-table clash the points were shared between Tudor Arms and Chorleywood Club, the game ending 3-3. Daniel Robertson scored two goals and Jack Robinson added a third for the Arms.

Chorleywood’s Michael East grabbed a brace and James Edwards struck to ensure the teams finished with a point apiece.

Division Two

Amici FC retained top spot after they played out an entertaining 7-4 win against Langleybury Cricket Club.

There were hat-tricks from Craig Gorrie and Chris Coleman for Amici and their other goal was scored by Michael Coleman.

Langleybury never gave in and battled throughout the contest. Their goals were netted by Matt Honey (2), Greg Cook and David Best.

Playing at home and in a close-fought game, Colne Valley were unable to prevent RD FC extending their winning streak as they were beaten 2-1. Dave Rooney was on target for the hosts but RD’s Elliott Myrants-Wilson and Joe Ellis struck to secure the victory for the visitors.

Oxhey Lions ran out 4-1 winners against Rifle Volunteer Reserves. Liam Hanley was the stand-out performer and netted a hat-trick in the victory and there was also a single from Joe Murphy.

A match between two teams near the foot of the table saw West Herts Reserves complete a 3-1 win against fellow strugglers and neighbours Rickmansworth Athletic. A hat-trick from Chris Blunden enabled the home side to take the points, with Jordan Allen replying for the visitors.

Division Three

In a match between two sides who have been struggling to score throughout the season, it was perhaps no surprise that Dome Bar Area and Woodlands United played out a 1-1 draw. Matt Bonnick found the net for Dome Bar while Mickey Hooker responded for the visitors.

Despite the form book, table topping West Watford found struggling Sun Postal United a tough nut to crack before eventually taking all three points with a 3-2 win.

Plucky Sun had to thank Luke Adams for their two goals but Fazaan Ahmed and Kasim Shah (2) struck to keep West Watford in top spot.

Division Four

In the only game played in the division due to postponements, Bell Rangers took advantage to move into top spot with a 5-1 win against The Swan.

There were braces in the victory for Louis Soaper and Harrison Harrison, with Jack Halcomb rounding off the scoring.

Bell’s position at the top of the table is not secure as both Sun Postal Sports and Wellington Arms have games in hand.
