Watford Ladies Under-13 Hornets were the weekend’s big winners, beating Bishop’s Stortford 8-3 in the League Shield.
Kelsey Mugford, Charli O’Connor and Ciara Purdue all bagged braces, with Rebecca Lovelace and Jolie Slater also on target.
The Under-17 Wasps had a game to forget as they were beaten 6-2 by Bedwell Rangers Dragons.
Alice Heady opened the scoring for the Lady Hornets, but after Bedwell equalised they took control of the tie, with Julia Waller’s lob providing some scant consolation for Watford.
In the League Shield the Under-15 Harts were second best at Hormead Hares, going down 4-1. Louise Chick got Watford’s consolation strike.
The Under-15 Wasps bowed out of the League Cup, going down 6-0 at home to Hitchin Belles.
In the same competition, the Under-13 Harts beat Hitchin Belles 3-2, with Amy Doherty, Neve Mayes and Amy Ryan all on target.
