Garston Ladies showed no signs of rustiness as they thrashed Sharnbrook Women 6-0 on Sunday in their first fixture of 2015.

Vicky Duffy starred with four goals, whilst there was a brace for Emma Trill to complete the scoring.

Garston Ladies 96 bettered that by securing an emphatic 7-0 win over Welwyn Garden City.

Lauren Berryman was in fine form, netting a hat-trick, whilst Daisy Culaj (2), Karina Hastie and Natalie Powell also weighed in.

The Under-15s displayed significant signs of improvement in their 2-0 loss against St Albans – the previous meeting having ended 7-0 in the opposition’s favour.

Holly Chappell scored twice as the Under-14s edged out Kinja Thunder 4-3.

A delayed kick off due to the inclement weather did not faze the Under-13 Mets, who beat Denham 3-0.

There was disappointment for the Under-13 Diamonds, who conceded a late goal to lose 2-1 at Harvesters.

Amira Quraishy equalised for Garston but with the match heading towards a draw, a lapse in concentration cost the visitors a point.

The Under-12 Mets were 3-1 winners at Harvesters Blues, with goals from Claudia Bulow, Sarah O’Brien and Nicole Zermani doing the damage.

Bad weather saw the Under-12 Diamonds’ tie against St Albans City Youth abandoned at half time.
