An inaugural festival of sport will be held in Northwood at Merchant Taylors’ School in June.
The festival, due to take place on Sunday, June 7, will include four distances of triathlons, two aquathlons, three duathlons, cycle events (100km and 100 miles), 10K and 5K runs and a 1.5km fun run for children and all the family.
After several successful years at Welwyn Garden City, attracting more than 1000 athletes, the festival is coming to Northwood.
“The Festival of Sport in Northwood will provide a day long feast of sport and fun for the [area],” said event director David Enright.
“The festival will be Watford’s own local Olympiad.”
Participants will receive a finishers medal and a t-shirt and all events will be chip timed and professionally photographed.
