Matthew Hall stormed to victory with a personal best to win the Eastern Regional Indoor 60m hurdles gold at Lee Valley.
Hall made a mockery of pre-race predictions as he ran the second fastest heat of the round with 8.64 in what was his first indoor appearance of the season.
Things got even better for the Shaftesbury Barnet Harrier as he recorded a blistering 8.44 in the final to win by two hundredths of a second.
The win takes the Parmiter’s School pupil to 14th in the UK rankings and he can now turn his attentions to this month’s National Indoor Championships.
