Watford Ladies Under-17 Wasps crushed Bury Rangers Whites 5-1 thanks to a Carly Gilbey treble.

Gilbey opened the scoring from the penalty spot, whilst Kelly Asojo and Megan Walsh netted before half time.

Watford continued to dominate in the second period, with Gilbey scoring twice more to complete her hat-trick and seal the win.

The Under-19s came up short against AFC Phoenix, losing 4-1 despite a string of saves from goalkeeper Maddie Gorton.

The Golden Girls were under the cosh from the outset and found themselves trailing 2-0 at half time. Ellen Clarabut pulled one back after the break but ruthless Phoenix struck twice more.

An 8-1 victory over Bishop’s Stortford extended the Under-15 Wasps’ unbeaten league record.

Angel Frost scored twice before Sophia Citro and Sam Cottam took the game away from Bishop’s Stortford.

Keelie Horwood (2) and Bronwen Lunniss completed the rout for Watford.

Elsewhere in the Under-15s, Watford Harts had less to celebrate as they were beaten 4-0 by St Albans City South, but the Under-15 Hornets beat rivals Luton Town 7-0.

The Under-13 Harts enjoyed an emphatic 5-1 win over Bury Rangers.

Isabella Hughes opened the scoring and strikes from Amy Ryan and Neve Mayes gave Watford a comfortable lead at the break. Lola Forsyth increased Watford’s lead in the second half before Jemimah Rose completed the scoring.

The Under-12s remain without a victory after losing 6-2 to Bishop’s Stortford. Charlie Clark scored both of Watford’s goals.
