Fullerians booked their place in the final of the London Senior Vase on Saturday by sealing a comprehensive 24-0 victory against Dartfordians.

Fullers will now take on Bromley in the final and a victory would leave them just one match away from a national final at Twickenham.

Fullerians started brightly and made early inroads into the visiting defence. Gaps began to appear and the home side took full advantage to break the deadlock.

Dan Evans received a pass and was given room to cross the whitewash. Craig Duncan added the conversion.

Fullers added to their lead through a Duncan penalty and went into the half time break 10-0 ahead.

Dartfordians started with renewed vigour in the second period and impressed in the line-out and scrum.

But Fullers’ defence held firm and they were able score again as Duncan’s surging run saw him eventually offload to Evans and he went over.

Duncan added the extras and was again accurate with the boot following Mike Kerr’s late try.

While there were celebrations for Fullers, Watford missed out on the final of the Herts Presidents Trophy after losing 32-3 to Cheshunt.

The first half was a fairly even affair but visitors Cheshunt made the most of their opportunities to lead 11-3 at the interval. Tom McGee’s successful penalty was to be the only points Watford scored.

Watford were hopeful of an improved second period but Cheshunt took control of the contest. All of the home side’s set piece moves were shut down almost at source.

Cheshunt went on to score three converted tries and deserved their place in the final at Watford’s expense.
