Watford Ladies teenager Emma Bebbington has been called up for international duty with the Wales Under-19s side.

The 17-year-old joined the Welsh squad for a four-day trial at Newport’s Dragon Park in December and has been selected for the 18-strong Under-19 squad.

Michael Williams, head coach for Watford’s Under-19 development team said: “I’m delighted Emma’s hard work and development has been rewarded.

“To represent your country is a fantastic achievement, one which she can be extremely proud of, but also a great opportunity to further her football education.”

Bebbington is in her third season with Watford Ladies, where she plays under the Elite Player Pathway scheme. Prior to signing with the Hornets, Bebbington was with MK Dons in the Under-12 to Under-16 age groups.

Meanwhile, the Under-13 Harts sealed a 5-0 win against Denham United to move into fifth place in the Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership League Division One.

Amy Doherty and Jemimah Rose led the way as they netted braces and a strike from Amy Ryan completed the scoring.

The Under-19s drew 3-3 against Crystal Palace in the London and South East Women’s Football League. Ellen Clarabut, Sian Fiskin and Lori Wilson were on target for the Hornets.

A solitary goal from Kelly Asojo proved enough for the Under-17 Wasps to defeat Hitchin Belles 1-0.

The Under-15s Wasps clinched a comprehensive 8-0 win against Harpenden Colts in Division Two.

Sophia Citro and Mikhela Treon both notched twice whilst Keelie Horwood, Courtney Brunette, Samantha Cottam and Bronwen Lunniss also found the net.

Kayleigh Barrell-Diston and Charlie Clark scored for the Under-12s in a 4-2 defeat to Bury Rangers whilst the Under-15 Harts went down 7-0 against Garston Ladies.

The Under-11 Hornets were in goal-scoring form against Berkhamsted Raiders. There were hat-tricks from Casey Evans and Kayra Karakus. Jessica Cripps, Grace Langham, Bliss Murray and Ellie Sinfield netted braces.
