Four goals from Kim Nield helped Kings Langley Ladies thrash Panshanger Ladies Seconds 6-2 in Beds & Herts Division Three on Sunday.

The hosts opened the scoring after 27 minutes when Mary Hogan’s pass played in Nield to fire past the keeper.

Just before half time the visitors equalised but then had to make a desperate effort to clear and save off their line from Langley’s attacks.

Both sides had players sent off after the restart when Nicole Barrett was dismissed for reacting to a tackle on her, which also led to a red for the opponent.

Rachael Lee restored Kings Langley’s lead from the free-kick as she raced in to score.

Panshanger levelled again just before the hour mark and hit the post as they threatened to take the lead.

But the visitors were reduced to nine players for handling Hogan’s shot on the line. Nield fired home the penalty to make it 3-2.

Kings Langley extended their advantage when Phoebe Henderson-Barnes scored before Nield completed her hat-trick from close range.

The final goal of the game came when Henderson-Barnes and Lee combined to set up Nield for her fourth of the game.

The side travel to Houghton in their next game on Sunday afternoon.

Kings Langley Belles Under-13s were beaten 4-1 by Garston Diamonds on Saturday while the Under-14s defeated Kinja Thunder 3-2 at home.

The Under-14s are now second in the table after their victory and just one point behind table-toppers Garston.
