Premier Division

The destiny of the Premier Division title is now firmly in the hands of leaders of Old Danes Athletic after they defeated Meriden Ballers 6-2, whilst Bushey Grove and Hertfordshire Lions could only share the points in a 4-4 draw, a result that didn't particularly help either team.

Old Danes did what was required thanks in no small part to a hat-trick in the first half-an-hour of the game from Chris White.

Meriden did pull two goals back through Tom Dettmer after the break, but further Old Danes efforts followed from Joel Foskett's brace and a single from Colin Spooner.

Bushey Grove and Hertfordshire Lions both needed a victory from their game, and the outcome has hit both sides' hopes of winning the title.

Bushey looked to be on course for that vital win when they took a two-goal lead early in the first half thanks to two goals from Harrison Jones, but that early advantage was soon wiped out through a Louis McNamara penalty and a free-kick from Dennis Fraser.

In the second half it looked like Lions had completed a dramatic comeback when they opened up a two-goal lead themselves thanks to goals from Cameron Baxendine and a second from Fraser.

But with ten minutes remaining Bushey battled back thanks to Luc Grant, who scored from the penalty spot, and with just two minutes left Kevin Kenwright equalised with a lob.

Old Danes' final two games are against two of the sides who could stop them winning the title, Bushey Grove and Bovingdon. Win those and Danes will be champions.

Inter beat Cassiobury Revolution 2-0 in the big game at the foot of the table.

Dan Kenna gave Inter the lead after just four minutes, turning home a loose ball after Cassiobury goalkeeper Dan James flapped at a corner.

Although Will Keedy did hit the post for Cassiobury in the first half, Inter looked the far better organised side, and they sealed the win with seven minutes remaining through Rob Cunningham following a swift counter-attack.

Division One

As expected, United clinched the first division title with a 4-0 win against Roundbush.

All the goals came in the first 35 minutes through George Mundy, Peter Challis, Chris Palmer and Joe Ray.

Bedmond will be the divisional runners-up after a 4-1 home win over Dynamo Croxley.

Robert Hugill gave Dynamo an early lead but Jordan Davies scored twice and that was followed by a third from Daniel Greig as Croxley were reduced to ten men.

In the second half a fourth goal followed for the home side through George Dalling.

WD Athletic and Watford Labour Club warmed up for their Chairman’s Cup Final clash on April 12, sharing five goals in a narrow 3-2 win for the home side.

Pat Turner, Alex Gilmaney and Jed Booth scored for WD, with Charles Linsley and Mark Bedford replying for their opponents.
