Terry Devereux WSFL President’s Cup Semi-Finals

Oakview made extremely light work of Premier Division rivals Gadeside Rangers, cruising to a 6-0 victory.

Goal machine Lee Armitt helped himself to a brace whilst there were singles for Lewis Putman, Tim O’Mara, Ben Alexander and Owen Deamer.

In the other semi-final, Rifle Volunteer won a penalty shoot-out 4-2 against Oxhey Estates following a 2-2 draw after extra-time.

Andy Lomas and Hugh Trayte fired Rifle into a 2-0 lead before Luke Beardsworth and Luke Lloyd pulled Oxhey level.

Thirty minutes of additional time failed to separate the two, with Rifle prevailing from the spot.

WSFL Invitation Cup Semi-Finals

Fourth tier Evergreen Reserves pulled off a cup shock by beating second division Amici FC 4-1.

Behind to a Craig Gorrie goal, Evergreen sealed their place in the final thanks to an Alex Jokiel hat-trick and one for Connor Herbert.

Evergreen will now meet Oxhey Lions, who overcame West Herts Reserves 4-2.

Efforts from Liam Hanley, Gavin Shepherd, Trafford Nolan and Ryan King cancelled out strikes from Ashley Birdwell for the Stags.

Premier Division

In the division’s only fixture, St Josephs were made to work hard as they edged out struggling West Herts 2-1.

Sam Clark and Jack Brown hit the back of the net for Joes, with Sylvester Gyenes the Stags marksman.

Division One

Top-of-the-table Reed Rangers underlined their superiority by crushing Tudor Arms 8-0.

There were hat-tricks from Dom David and Jamie Speer, with Adam Crassweller and Lucas Gibbons also netting.

Reed are now two points clear of second-placed Old Fullerians with four games in hand and an intimidating goal difference of 58.

Fullers held onto second place by beating Chorleywood Club 2-1 but know it will take a seismic shift to snatch the title.

Sam Parker and Steve Pich struck to render Owen Wartnaby’s goal a consolation only.

Third-placed Hammer defeated Rickmansworth Rovers, in fourth, 3-1.

Leading 2-1 at the break, Hammer added a third after the restart. James Budden got the Ricky goal.

Division Two

Langleybury Cricket Club edged out Colne Valley 1-0 thanks to a Mark Edgar penalty.

Division Three

Carpenders Park Rangers racked up their largest margin of victory by beating Woodlands United 10-0 away from home.

Andy Avis put in a sterling performance by netting six times. Bradley Brunt, Will Wilson, Aaron Davis and Tam Hughes were also on target.

AFC Oddfellows just did enough to beat Racing Santandome 2-1.

Mickey O’Connor and Jamie Gallagher grabbed the Oddfellows goals, with Chris Panyal the Racing scorer.

Third-placed West Watford also sent out a statement of intent, beating Railway Arms 6-1.

Bilal Akram led the way with a fine hat-trick, whilst there were further goals via Tizwaan Ahmed (2) and Shahid Ali. Craig Berger scored for Railway.

North Watford were also in rampant form, crushing Sun Postal United 7-1 on the road.

Shoaib Ali and Liam Fowler each netted hat-tricks, with Shakeb Ali registering a seventh. Aziz Akmal scored Sun’s consolation effort.

Dome Bar Area beat Oxhey Rangers 1-0 thanks to a Josh Shaw goal.

Division Four

Defending was clearly optional in the meeting of Sun Postal Sports and Hertsmere (Sunday), with the former running out 8-3 winners.

Louis Hakner (3), Sam Hakner (2), Karim El-Janfall (2) and Graeme Olney all hit the back of the net for the victors.

The Swan picked up a good 3-1 win over Bell Rangers.

Vilson Culaj (2) and Leo Kokaj notched for the Swan, with Marc Bonito replying.
