Belstone's cup hopes for the season were ended on Saturday when they suffered a 4-2 extra-time defeat at the hands of White Ensign in the semi-finals of the Anagram Records Trophy.

Having been beaten 3-2 by Letchworth Garden City Eagles in the final of the Herts Senior Centenary Trophy the previous week, a brace from the prolific Darren Turner kept the Radlett side's double bid alive as the tie went to extra-time. But the visitors scored two unanswered goals in the additional 30 minutes to set up a final showdown with Letchworth.

Belstone still remain hot favourites to win the Premier Division as they trail Bovingdon, who did not play on Saturday, by three points but with five games in hand.

Mill End Sports boosted their chances of a top-six finish after a Karl Swan brace and Andrew Pryor's goal saw them beat Lemsford 3-1.

A goal from Mark Shanahan wasn't enough to save Sarratt from a 2-1 defeat at Standon and Puckeridge, while Chipperfield Corinthians lost 2-0 at home to Wormley Rovers.

Old Parmiterians missed the opportunity to go top of Division One after they were thrashed 5-0 at Buntingford Town, who strengthened their own title prospects as a result.

Parmiterians remain two points behind leaders Evergreen with a game in hand. But Buntingford are only a point further back in third with as many as four games to make up the gap on the top two.
