Watford Sunday League Round-up

Premier Division

Imperious Oakview have won the Premier Division for the 12th time and did so in style, crushing nearest rivals Oxhey Estates 8-0.

The resounding win means they are now seven points clear of Oxhey with two games to play and cannot be caught.

Lee Armitt stole the show by running in five goals, whilst Lewis Putman, Owen Deamer and Adam Lowton were also on the scoresheet.

Division One

League-leaders Reed Rangers handed out a merciless beating, running in eight unanswered goals against struggling Nascot Arms.

Dom David helped himself to five and was well supported by Lucas Gibbons, Adam Crassweller and Nathan Guillen.

The win leaves Reed three points clear of second-placed Hammer and with two games in hand on their nearest rivals.

At the other end of the table, Nascot are just four points ahead of basement-dwellers Cassiobury Rangers but with three games in hand.

Hammer and Old Fullerians met in an entertaining clash which ended 3-3.

Tom Ford, Jamie Carter and Mark Smith were all on target for Hammer, with Joe Rylett, Craig Totten and Sam Parker replying.

Victory means Hammer keep up the pressure on leaders Reed but Fullers are just four points behind in third.

Division Two

It was too little, too late for Langleybury Cricket Club who hit five to trounce West Herts Reserves 5-1.

Inconsistency has plagued their season and as such, Langleybury remain well off the pace in fourth.

A hat-trick from Matt Honey was added to by Andrew Cheeseman and Jamie Madden to complete an emphatic win.

Colne Valley picked up an equally emphatic victory, beating Rickmansworth Athletic 4-0.

The loss leaves second-bottom Ricky just three points ahead of Croxley FC, although they do have a better goal difference.

Dave Rooney, Louis Collar-Smith, Andy McKenzie-Bell and Shaun Moody all found the back of the net for the victors.

Division Three

AFC Oddfellows could not take full advantage of leaders Carpenders Park Rangers not being in action, only drawing 1-1 with North Watford.

Only picking up one point instead of three could prove crucial as Oddfellows trail Rangers by two points but do have a better goal difference.

Michael O’Connor struck for the home side with Mansoor Ali the North Watford marksman.

West Watford, in third and also on 35 points, beat Railway Arms 5-3 in an end-to-end encounter.

Bilal Akram scored a hat-trick and there were also goals for Tahir Azam and Akil Ahmed.

Adam Williams, Ben Williams and Lee Shippey replied in vain for Arms.
