Despite playing with just eight players to match their opponents, Garston Ladies Under-15s showed no mercy in an 8-0 win over Hormead Hares on Saturday.

With Hormead three players light, Garston made the sporting gesture of shedding three of their own players and were rewarded with a resounding victory.

The first Garston goal took a while to come but Jemima Dawkins forced the ball home to open the scoring. That was followed by Rosie Trevett-Smart’s first goal for the club, latching onto a loose ball.

Trevett-Smart then turned provider and set up Dawkins for her second of the match and it was not long before Dawkins completed her second hat-trick of the season.

The second half saw Dawkins grab her fourth of the day and Trevett-Smart notch a second.

Katy Porter, Amy Robb and Eleanor Barton also netted in an empathetic 9-0 win for the girls in purple.

Garston Ladies Under-16s were the most senior team in action but lost 4-1 to AFC Kempston Colts. Kristal Clarke was on target for Garston.

The Under-12 Diamonds got back to winning ways against Bishop’s Stortford, registering a 5-2 victory.

Shreya Parmar opened the scoring for Garston, battling well in the penalty area to slot the ball home. Bishops Stortford quickly equalised and then took the lead just before half-time.

The second half saw Georgia Rosenberg equalise before Aribah Butt put Garston in the lead with a fine volley.

A confident run from Callie Jenman ended with her increasing Garston’s lead and with almost the last kick of the game, Aimee Trainis lobbed the Stortford goalkeeper to round off the win.

Jeneice Benjamin and Grace Colman scored for the Under-11 Mets whilst Mandy-Rose Beacham, Darcey Bash and Hannah Edmunds were all on target for the Under-11 Diamonds. Lucie Kirby, Anna Berry, Pearl Cogger and Reece Ayres netted for the Under-10 Diamonds.

Lexe Allaway, Erin Radbourne and Tayla Lewis registered for the Under-8 Sharks.
