Champions Belstone suffered just their third Hertsavers Senior County League defeat of the season on Saturday, going down 4-2 at Hatfield Social.
Strikes from Ross O’Flynn and Darren Turner were not enough for the table-toppers, who were humbled by their fourth-placed hosts.
However, on Tuesday Belstone bounced back from their shock loss with a 4-1 home win over Lemsford.
Turner (2), Nick Turner and Chris Ingham all netted in the win.
Mill End Sports and Chipperfield Corinthians played out a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.
Harry Laflin and Karl Swan registered for Mill End, with Adrian Abramian and Luke King replying.
On Saturday Chipperfield were beaten 3-1 at home by Hertford Heath, with Dominic Dickinson’s effort no more than a consolation.
In Division One, top-of-the-table Old Parmiterians won 3-0 at Cheshunt Reserves.
Goals from Jonathan Da-Sila, Ben Poulton and Ashley Talbout ensured they have a one-point lead over Buntingford Town, who have played three games fewer.
