Garston Ladies Under-12 Mets were crowned league champions following a fine 4-0 win over Stevenage Borough.

Nicole Zermani scored twice with further goals from Issie Smith and Claudia Bulow sealing the title in style.

The second-placed Under-14s could not get the better of league-leaders Kings Langley and were eventually beaten 5-1.

Emily Downey scored the consolation goal for Garston.

On Tuesday the Under-14s brought the curtain down on their league season with back-to-back wins over St Albans City South in a double header.

Tegan Davis found the back of the opposition net twice and there were further goals from Yasmin Sabri and Louise O’Brien.

Garston Ladies Under-13 Mets were in action against Tottenham but despite a hat-trick from Abby Reith, the girls in purple were beaten 4-3.

The Under-12 Diamonds missed out on third after losing a seven-goal thriller to Bishop’s Stortford 4-3. Garston fell behind to an early goal but Georgia Rosenberg soon equalised. Two Bishop’s Stortford goals in quick succession went unanswered until a fine finish by Aribah Butt brought the Diamonds back into the game.

The Purples fell further behind, but a solo run from Callie Jenman ensured a frantic finish to the game, which ended in Bishop’s Stortford’s favour.

Darci Harewood was on target for the Under-11 Mets, with Jessi Dyson scoring for the Under-10 Mets and Rie-Anna Booth and Tamara Teper both netting for the Under-10 Sharks.

Keira Hemington, Rosie Alexander, Leah Shellard, Alice Musgrove, Jamie Levene and Remi Parmar found the net for the Under-9 Mets.

Tia Beacham and Erin Magill were on fine finishing form for the Under-9 Diamonds, while Ivy Mead, Beth Pajak, Ava Lewis and Gabriella Spillman all scored for the Under-8 Mets.
