Kayleigh McCarthy finished tenth in the Salabis Cup in Portugal as she went up against a strong field which included Olympians.
The Watford resident put in a good performance in round one, demonstrating stability, neatness and height. She achieved a score of 25.1 for the neatness – which was the fourth highest score of the group – and her total score for round one was 42.000.
After a delay in the competition it was not until after 10pm that McCarthy got to complete her second round.
Performing a routine of greater difficulty, McCarthy scored 44.290 after finding too much movement around the trampoline costly.
A total score of 86.290 was enough for tenth place in a field of 40 but McCarthy narrowly missed out on a place in the final.
