Glen Rovers Gaelic Football Club had two teams reach the semi-finals of the All Britain Championship in Greenford with more than 2,000 players taking part in the competition.

The Under-12 and Under-14 boys’ sides both progressed through the group stages by virtue of winning their respective pools but both eventually came up short in the semi-finals, losing to the eventual winners.

For the first time a girls’ team was entered, thanks largely to the hard work of Colleen Lynott and her assistant Meghan Gallagher, and the side won their first ever match at the competition.

The Under-14s are looking to complete the double by beating Saint Dympnas in the Hertfordshire League final this weekend.
