Watford Harriers provided the backbone of a strong Hertfordshire team which achieved their best placing for a number of years in the Under-13s Inter Counties fixture at Kingston on Sunday.
Their presence helped the boys’ team to fourth place and the girls’ to seventh spot in the 16-team tournament.
There were individual wins to celebrate for Liam Mvula in the 100m, in a time of 13.94 seconds, and for Kai Tunstall who threw 28.79 metres to win the discus.
In the B-string, there was also a first for Kia Alland in the 75m hurdles.
