Hemel Hempstead Town picked up a comfortable 79-run victory over Holtwhites Trinibis in Chess Valley League Division One on Sunday to keep their title hopes alive.

Batting first, Hemel raced to 66 in eight overs before the first wicket fell. Josh Graves impressed after opening with 66. Brad Finch also caught the eye as he finished on 56 not out while Jack Doodson’s 51 took them to 266 for six.

In reply, Holtwhites were dismissed for 187 with Sam Jenkinson taking three for 43. Tom Elborn took two for three in just 1.3 overs while Ed Langley picked up two for 24.

Hemel Hempstead Town Seconds fell to a third successive defeat in Division Six after losing to Boxmoor by ten runs.

Boxmoor managed to score 150 all out with Scott Radcliffe picking up three wickets.

Hemel opened the batting with Aaron Wilson and he managed to score 40. Anjam Khan hit 19 and Liam Jahn chipped in with 22 but the side fell ten runs short of the target.
