Garston trampolinist Kayleigh McCarthy has qualified for the national league finals at the end of this year after her performances in Wales at the weekend included a victory.

The final event of the day in Cardiff saw McCarthy and partner Naomi Waldock produce two high quality routines to win the synchronised competition.

McCarthy competed in the senior ladies category and three solid routines earned a total of 136.235 for fourth place.

In the Super League event, McCarthy increased her difficulty and height across three routines, earning 137.545 to sit in third place after round two. After a very competitive final she finished eighth overall.

Sprung Loaded club member McCarthy has now achieved the necessary qualifying scores to compete in the national finals at the Copper Box arena in the Olympic Park in December.
