Garston Ladies celebrated a successful Saturday with five wins, one draw and just two defeats for the club's various youth sides.

Leading the way were the Under-17 Sharks who beat AFC Kempston Rovers 7-5 in an enthralling encounter.

Garston were under pressure from the outset and Kempston dominated possession for the first 30 minutes.

However, Garston took the lead against the run of play when Jade Roberts well-placed lob beat the Rovers keeper.

Kempston responded with two goals but Garston upped their game and restored their lead with a debut goal from Lauren Berryman.

Shortly afterwards, Berryman's corner was headed home by Kristal Clarke.

In the second half, two early goals from Kempston shifted the balance before Berryman netted two more to earn the Player of the Match accolade. Further efforts from Clarke and Roberts sealed the victory.

The Under-16 Jaguars cruised to a 3-0 win over Bedwell Rangers.

Strikes from Jemima Dawkins, Chloe Dinsey and Katy Porter scored to seal the win before half-time.

Elsewhere, goals from Doyin Bolaji and Yasmin Sabri secured a 2-0 win for the Under-15s against St Albans City Youth.

However, it was not such good news for the Under-14 Panthers who lost 5-2 to Kings Langley.

Garston took the lead through Georgia McGurk but Kings hit back three times and Amira Quraishy's goal proved no more than a consolation for the Purples.

The Under-13 Lionesses drew 1-1 against Harvesters Blues with an improved second half showing seeing Nicole Zermani level.

Two of the three Under-12 sides were victorious with the Leopards winning 4-2 at Tottenham thanks to goals from Jeneice Benjamin (3) and Darci Harwood.

The Jaguars, meanwhile, were 4-1 winners against Hitchin Belles.

However, the Wildcats did not fare so well in their first match and suffered a 9-1 loss at Hoddesdon Owls.

Trailing by just two at the break, the Owls opened fire in the second and Olivia Watt's goal was all Garston had to show for their endeavours.
