Phil Joslin won the Little Hay Captain’s Away Day at Aldwickbury Golf Club.

With 37 points Joslin was just able to edge out Peter Balding in second place with 34 points, whilst Jim Littlechild came home in third, having scored 32 points.

The team events were won by John Redgwell, Fred Evans, Frank Klimaszewski and Tim Farrow with an aggregate score of 121 points.

Seniors captain Trevor Sargent won the longest drive competition with Terry Keeling taking nearest the pin prize on the 17th hole.

John Murphy won nearest the pin on the ninth hole in just two shots.

David Smith was winner of the Bovingdon club’s Division Two Seniors Medal with 39 points, enough to put him clear of Peter Abbiss, who claimed 37 points, on a countback.

John Murphy finished third with 37 points too.
