Berkhamsted thrashed Northampton Spencer 5-1 on Saturday in the FA Vase.

Their victory secured a home tie against AFC Kempston Rovers on Saturday, November 21.

The visitors took an early lead through Liam Tuck after five minutes. But the goal was quickly cancelled out by a header from defender Dale Sears.

Jim Baldry then made it 2-1 when the captain headed home a corner.

Berko extended their lead when Baldry scored again from a delivery by Josh Chamberlain.

Chamberlain added a brace of goals to his two assists, the first an excellent demonstration of the young forward’s pace as he beat the Miller’s defender and slotted coolly past the goalkeeper.

His second goal, in the dying embers of the game, owed much to the creativity of Nash Barker who laid the ball off at the edge of the area for Chamberlain to fire home.

Berko host AFC Dunstable in the league this weekend.
